01/30/2021 Leave a Comment

The upcoming conference is “The Fiery Cross; our Hope and our Victory”
February 11 – 13, 2021, each day from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Guest Speaker: Fr Mark Goring, CC

Who is Fr. Mark Goring, CC?

Fr. Mark is a priest of the Companions of the Cross, who is currently serving at St. Mary’s Parish in Ottawa. Let him tell you:

“I grew up in Pembroke, ON and have been Catholic my whole life. I have 3 brothers, one of whom is also a priest. I worked on a berry & vegetable farm when I was younger. I entered the seminary when I was 18 and was ordained a priest in 2002.

When I was first ordained, I was the associate pastor at St. Mary’s for 4 years. It’s nice to be back! I’ve also worked as the Companions of the Cross Vocations Direction, Chaplain at York University in Toronto, and Director of the Catholic Charismatic Center in Houston, Texas. I also have a YouTube Channel and contribute to the television program ‘Food for Life’.

I’ve been the Pastor at St. Mary’s since July 2019. As a pastor, I preach and celebrate the sacraments; help train our ministry leaders and lead our amazing Pastoral Council, Finance Council, and Leadership Team. I hope that I inspire people to know Jesus and live according to His Word.”  (Taken from St. Mary’s Parish website)
