Gordon Foss, a member of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR), was called home by the Lord on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the age of 92. Gordon served the CCR in the Calgary & Edmonton dioceses.
In Calgary, Gordon was a member and leader at St. Luke’s Parish and served on the Alberta Service Committee. He was also one of the seven CCR members who took part in the formation of the Calgary Catholic Charismatic Renewal Society (CCCRS) which is celebrating 35 years on March 4th, 2023.
The Holy Spirit led Gordon and his wife, Irene, to move from Calgary to Radway, Alberta, where they served a number of years at the JPII Bible School. From there, they were led to serve in Hinton at the Way of Holiness Centre. After a number of years at Hinton, Gordon and Irene retired to Ft. Saskatchewan, where they continued serving in the prayer group of Our Lady of the Angels. Gordon and Irene frequently attended various Catholic Renewal Services (CRS) of Edmonton functions. Lastly, they found themselves moving to Beaumont to be closer to their family.
Gordon’s funeral will take place at St. Vital Parish, 4905-50th Street, Beaumont, AB (location map) on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 1:00 PM.
Please note, this announcement is an introduction to those who may not know of Gordon and Irene’s many years of service in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.
