Epiphany of the Lord

01/06/2019

Like the 3 Magi, it seems at times in our own lives that we too come from far away, searching for the King. Finding Him, we realize the truth, that all the while, it was the Lord who sought us out. Encountering Jesus, let us traverse faithfully along the path He reveals to us.

Mary, the Holy Mother of God

01/02/2019

“The predestination of the Blessed Virgin as Mother of God was associated with the incarnation of the divine word: in the designs of divine Providence she was the gracious mother of the divine Redeemer here on earth, and above all others and in a singular way the generous associate and humble handmaid of the Lord… Thus, in a wholly singular way she cooperated by her obedience, faith, hope and burning charity in the work of the Savior in restoring supernatural life to souls. For this reason she is a mother to us in the order of grace.” (Lumen Gentium 61)

The Holy Family

12/31/2018

“The Christian family is called upon like the large-scale Church, to be a sign of unity for the world and in this way exercise its prophetic role by bearing witness to the Kingdom and peace of Christ, towards which the whole world is journeying” (St. Pope John Paul II – Familiaris Consortio, 48).

Nativity of the Lord

12/25/2018

“Today, for our sake, the King of Heaven chose to be born of His Virgin Mother, to reclaim lost men for the Heavenly Kingdom. All the angels cry aloud with joy, for God has come Himself to save mankind. Glory to God in the highest, and peace to His people on earth.” (Breviary, Vol 1, p.404)

4th Sunday of Advent

12/25/2018

Of all the ways God could have revealed His Only Begotten Son to us, the Father chose that His Son would come to us through the Ever-Virgin Mary. If God comes to us through the Immaculata, it is because it is the most fitting and perfect way. As such, it makes sense that we too should follow His example and go to Him journeying the same path, which is the surest, easiest, shortest, and most perfect way to union with Christ.
